Caring for your eyes

Remember your parents always telling you that carrots make you see in the dark? Well its sort of true. Carrots are really good for your eyes, they really help maintain healthy eyes! Broccoli, bell pepper and brussel sprouts are also very good for your eyes. So eat up!!!

Cucumber on the eyelids are also good for your eyes. You don't need to do the whole face mask thing, just put them on your eyelids for a few minutes and they should reduce puffiness.

A few other things you can do just to improve the welfare of your eyes is not read in dim lighting, don't look at bright lights and keep goggles on when you need too, for example when you are doing woodwork.

Do this sort of thing now and I'm sure that your future self will be thanking you :D

Clearasil ultra rapid action face wash

I tried this a few months back. It wasn't something i would usually use but i was breaking out and running out of things to use. My mum bought this for my brother but i used it anyway to see what it was like.
I used it for about 3 weeks morning a night. But its a very harsh wash therefore it was making me breakout in even more spots. The first few times i used it my face felt really clean and the spots died down. But as the days past, it started to get worst and my mum suggested trying something else.
As soon as i tried something a bit weaker my face became less sensitive to the elements and the spots started to get a bit better than they were.
This product was just too harsh for my face.

Simple facewash

Personally after trying 'Simple kind to skin refreshing wash gel' i didn't feel like it was doing a lot. i have fairly sensitive skin myself but i like my skin to have a clean feeling.
I think this product is great for people with sensitise skin, as it says on the packet it hasn't any harsh chemicals. People with sensitive skin shouldn't be scrubbing there skin and therefore this is a good cleanser and it shouldn't cause massive out breaks.
But for me it wasn't making my skin feel clean and it wasn't doing a great deal for my spots. It wasn't clearing them up of making me have less. My skin just stayed the same.
I wouldn't recommend this for people who don't have sensitive skin. But for those who, do the whole simple range is a good brand to try.

Sleeping

Hooray!!!

We always hear on TV and in movies people say 'I need my beauty sleep' and its true. People with less sleep look less attractive and more unhealthy than people who get lots of sleep. I'm not talking 12 hours every night, but just once or twice a week let yourself have an early night, you really will see the difference.

But remember these few things!!!
1) Your skin needs to breath throughout the night, so make sure you clean it before you go to sleep.
2) Your skin becomes dehydrated when you sleep therefore using moisturiser before you sleep will give it hydration.
3) Give your lips a good scrub. Try and use some lip scrub with little chemicals, because by scrubbing them you are getting rid of all the things you put on them in the day.
4) Wearing socks when you sleep can improve blood circulation and help you sleep better. This personally never worked for me but give it a go and see what you think.

Washing your face.

Okay so i know that this sounds like a stupid topic. Everybody know how to wash there face. But i have found over the years that there are certain ways of doing this which work a lot better than others.

Firstly, change your towel and pillowcase. When you are asleep your skin needs something clean to lay against. Also if your using a dirty towel after you have just cleaned your face, it might not be as clean as you think. This can really help stop breakouts and get rid of spots. This is so easy and simple to do!

Secondly, when you are washing your face, DON'T SCRUB HARD!!! This is always something that gets people. the harder you scrub the more toxins your skin releases and this causing more spots. It's a cycle, you get more spots so you scrub harder. If you respect your skin and be light then it will respect you. This particular tip i found worked really well for me. so give it a go.

Thirdly, moisturiser is key. If you don't use it your skin gets dry and then produces oil. By washing it you are cleaning the bad oils off and you need to replace them. Don't over do the moisturiser because i found that brought me out in more spots. Just do it until your face feels like it did before you washed it.

Okay i will be posting more tips later.
